Why Don’t People Drive Properly for the Road Conditions?

It is just a part of human nature, that there will be some individuals who will usually drive too fast for the roadway conditions. A person can drive too fast for the conditions from being in a hurry, from a road rage incident or from being inexperienced on the roadways. A person of any age can make a mistake from driving the wrong way under the wrong roadway conditions. For example, if it is raining and a negligent driver’s car starts hydroplaning, then it may not matter that the driver is 16 years old or 66 years old, once the driver loses full control of the vehicle. This is especially timely as rain and snow have it California and so have the number of major and minor car and truck accidents. Call Walch Law now if this is the situation you find yourself in- 1-844-999-5342

This can mean that there are speeding vehicles that are moving too fast for the traffic and road factors. For example, if there is a high traffic volume at rush hour on the freeway, then rain or wind can obscure driver’s view from their windshields, and it can cause an accident. If drivers are tailgating, following too close to the vehicle in front of them, or otherwise not paying attention, there will be a serious accident as a result of this errant behavior by the drivers.

Other Drivers Can Be a Menace Off of the Roadways Too

A driver that is inattentive on the roadways can cause a serious accident with the rest of the drivers on the roads. It goes without saying that every driver on the roads needs to keep full attention and drive with extreme caution, at all times, on the roadways. If all of the drivers on the roads are careful and paying attention to the road, and no driver is inattentive, then it stands to reason that there should be no accidents, right? As soon as one driver is inattentive, negligent or not paying attention on the roads, then it puts every other “good” driver at risk for being in a serious accident at that point.

Drivers Merging Into Traffic Can Cause a High Risk of Accidents from Improper Merging into Lanes

When a driver is merging into traffic, extreme caution needs to be used to prevent having an accident with other vehicles already in the lane. But if a driver is on the sides of the road, or trying to merge into traffic unsafely, this is also a risk of being in a serious car accident. Drivers who cause accidents before they are safely onto the roadway can be located on the:

  • Shoulder
  • Median
  • Roadside
  • Berm
  • Outside of the roadway
  • On the ramp
  • In a separator
  • In a roundabout
